On a typical guided fishing trip, clients meet their guide early in the morning at the ranch for outfitting, orientation and a continental breakfast. Next, guests travel to the fishing location, which the guide chooses by considering factors such as fishability, weather and client preference. Once at the fishing destination, the guide will prepare equipment, teach basic skills to beginners, and offer suggestions to more experienced fishers on improving their technique. Pedernal Ranch sends brown bag lunches along with the guide for break midday. After more fishing, guests return to the ranch for a delicious dinner.
