| My
husband and I stayed for an adventurous weekend at Pedernal Ranch. Larry
and Elmer took us on a challenging horseback ride in Abiquiu’s breathtaking
“painted desert.” We came back to the ranch and each had a
relaxing massage right in our suite. The next day, my husband went fishing
in the Chama River while I had a private yoga session back at the ranch.
We both felt relaxed and rejuvenated by the end of the weekend.

I stayed with my husband and daughter at Pedernal Ranch for five days.
Our trip was full of site-seeing and adventure. On the first day, we visited
two Pueblo ruins in the Abiquiu area (we hiked to one and rode horses
to the other). We spent the second day at Bandelier National Monument
and saw ancient cave dwellings. The third day, we visited the Ghost Ranch
Museum and the Georgia O’Keeffe Foundation right in Abiquiu, where
we were able to see O’Keeffe’s house. In the afternoon, we
took a thirty minute drive to see beautiful petroglyphs. On the fourth
day, we took an enchanting train ride from Chama, New Mexico up into Southern
Colorado. On our last day, we were pleasantly tired and stayed at the
ranch and relaxed. Our trip was a great break from the stresses of everyday
life.

I went with two of my friends to Pedernal Ranch during the elk hunting
season. We stayed at the ranch the first and last nights and camped the
other two nights. The lodging was excellent, and the food was good and
hardy. Our hunting guide was very knowledgeable and experienced. It was
one of the best hunting trips I’ve ever taken.
